A Journey from Humble Beginnings
In 2025, Hotel Schönegg will celebrate its 35th anniversary, commemorating the major expansion in 1990 that transformed it into the celebrated alpine retreat it is today. The hotel’s story began much earlier, in 1947, when Johann Julen purchased a humble tea room, gradually expanding it into a beloved hotel known for its spectacular views of the Matterhorn.
Family Tradition and Leadership
For decades, Maria Josepha Julen managed Schönegg with a commitment to warm hospitality. In 2012, her children, Sebastian and Anna, took the helm. Today, under the leadership of Sebastian Metry and Line Février, the hotel continues to thrive, blending modern innovation with family tradition.
Looking Ahead: Infinity Spa 2025
As we look ahead to 2025, we are thrilled to unveil our brand-new Infinity Spa, offering 400 square meters of wellness luxury with indoor and outdoor pools, a Jacuzzi, and breathtaking views of the Matterhorn. This exciting addition marks the beginning of a new era at Schönegg, where the past and future come together to offer guests unforgettable alpine experiences.
